New ‘main stream’ paper argues heavy elements are synthesised on Earth by LENR
No force on Earth can stop an idea whose time has come
Back in 2017-8, I started to very clearly state that the Earth’s elemental abundance was due to LENR reaction processes going on in the Earth and that it was absurd that deposits of heavy elements had come from supernovas. This answered the second scientific question I had from the age of five, having read a volume of the Encyclopedia Britannica (the only books in our home other than the families King James Bible) - why were elements found where they were on Earth?
Of course, whilst I had heard discussions, such as those by Alberto Carpinteri, on the subject before in the LENR community, it was during a visit to Prof. Francesco Piantelli’s lab in Italy in December 2014 that someone first said to me directly that the heat in the Earth was caused by LENR processes.
Essentially, I argued that there was some kind of self-organising ‘Active Agent’ that could capture matter and energy and produce or transform elements. Of course, back then I did not have an understanding of the mechanism. Later I realised that the book Dr. Alexander Parkhomov had given me in his east Moscow apartment in February 2015 was possibly a key that would help solve this puzzle. I set about doing a Kickstarter to get the book translated so I could explore his perspective, something that the community, through their support, made possible.
Later I worked with Philip Power from New Zealand, to convert Dr. Parkhomov’s LENR reaction tables to an on-line free to use calculator.
Using this tool, I made very clear during my ICCF-22 poster presentations in 2019, that the abundance of elements in the Earth’s crust ARE due to LENR processes. I talked about how new elements, typical of volcanic eruptions were emerging out of volcano like structures on 75 um thin Indium foil exposed to Ohmasa Gas for instance.
You can download these two immense 1m x 2m posters for your pleasure below (fun fact, making these nearly broke my laptop and me, hence my use of a tripod as a crutch!).
Later, as I worked through the materials of Dr. Takaaki Matsumoto, it became clear that he not only was thinking along the same lines a long time ago, he specifically attributed it to macro ball lightning occurring in the Earth, with diagrams and geological related atmospheric effect photos to boot! More on that in a later post. This was fascinating to read, because, between 2019 and 2024, I believe I had laid out a viable hypothesis for the structure of ball lightning and how it could manipulate matter and energy in the way necessary to produce the observed geological processes he was describing.
New ‘main stream’ paper
In January 2025, just before he turned 80 years old, Dr. Alexander Parkhomov sent the Cold Transmutation of Nuclei and Ball Lightning group and myself a paper that quoted his work and which supported the hypothesis I had been building since 2016 with the following message:
Dear colleagues,
We have discussed the possibility of LENR occurring in the Earth's interior many times during webinars and personal conversations. And now, finally, an article by highly qualified geologists has appeared with a detailed examination of this problem. Without LENR, it is impossible to fully and consistently explain the heat release in the Earth's interior, volcanism and earthquakes. Heavy elements up to uranium are formed not during supernova explosions, but as a result of LENR in the Earth's interior.
I am sending this article and its translation into Russian.

Low Energy Nuclear Synthesis in Earthquake, Volcanic Eruptions, and Genesis of Heavy Elements
Vol, A. and Gilat, A.L. (2025) Low Energy Nuclear Synthesis in Earthquake, Volcanic Eruptions, and Genesis of Heavy Elements . International Journal of Geosciences, 16, 71-98. doi: 10.4236/ijg.2025.161005.
Table 4 lists possible 1st iteration nuclear reactions in CORUNDUM (Al2O3)
Where have we heard this before?
The paper explores a hypothesis that low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR) occur during earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, potentially contributing to the formation of heavy elements. It suggests that extreme geological conditions—high pressures, temperatures, and electromagnetic fields—could facilitate nuclear synthesis without requiring the high energies typical of stellar processes. The study analyzes seismic and volcanic events, proposing that these natural phenomena might mimic conditions for LENR, leading to isotopic anomalies and the creation of elements like uranium or thorium. It draws on observational data, such as unusual isotopic ratios in volcanic rocks, to support its claims. The paper also speculates on implications for Earth’s geochemical evolution, suggesting that such processes could supplement cosmic nucleosynthesis.
Conclusion
It is great to see this idea come of age, wonderful to see ball lightning experts such as Bychkov, PLASMa torOID researchers like Jaitner, New Energy pioneers like Frolov and of course Dr. Parkhomov himself credited.
The abstract states the following
“chemical elements heavier than iron are not detected in the solar wind. These elements discovered on our planet could be (and probably were) created on planet Earth and not imported from explosive supernovae or far-off remote stars. To the best of our knowledge, this hypothesis has not been proposed until now.”
Well, it was proposed before, by several people, but I am glad they did the work anyway! It is comforting that my answer to my own childhood question is now being discussed in a major International Journal of Geosciences. Perhaps a large community of researchers will start to take on board the theory that Ball Lightning like structures, such as those Dr. Takaaki Matsumoto considered so long ago, are the cause of these processes in and on the Earth, furthermore in space and in our own bodies just as Dr. Alexander Parkhomov suggests.

This is good news indeed - breaking the ship of science out of the ice pack into which it had become frozen, as it were, before that ship was wrecked. Not only that, but setting that ship on a course toward sunnier climes and more fertile pastures 🙂
Congratulations Bob. Good to be along for the ride! I do recall an episode where the mirrorverse was discussed, but not the details. It's in there somewhere.
But this update brings back two aspects of the explanatory power of LENR: Megalithic Methods, and Origin of the Oceans. These two massive areas of conjecture are deftly anchored in the action of the LENR phenomena. That it is "In our faces" really puts a cork in it. Victory lap!
