In a world where divisiveness can derail any real progress, you keep your discussion on point, and aimed right at the prize! When I first saw this interview I thought they were being a little unfair to Dr. Greer, especially considering they had little knowledge of this field. Many thanks to Bob for clarifying.
Well written article Bob! It is really starting to come together for me... I am mulling all of these facts over in my mind as I try to work (it's been very hard to think about anything other than this topic over the past year...). I've been thinking about putting together a paper that summarizes much of what you wrote above. Maybe I will start filling in the gaps in more detail in what you wrote here.

Anyway is great how things converge. Some people dread it, because it pushes LENR further into "the fringe", but I love it, because keeping things restricted to mainstream, we have scant chances of real advances.
IMHO Greer has to find the simple tile of widely known mainstream science to which cling his claims to keep it in the "plausibility" zone, and this is provided by the concept of Zero Point Energy.
