Also, in response to someone referring to the Tesla coil on the lively chat, the “modern” Tesla coil was derived from a misunderstanding of Tesla’s work and research. For example, the original Tesla coil did not have the torus attachment. Also, the Tesla coil was designed to deliver a high voltage with LOW current.

His main interest in the coil was in attaching various artefacts to terminals fed by the secondary via a single wire, artefacts that were sometimes attached to the ground but not always. He also used the coil to feed things such as a Copper bar curved into an n-shape with light bulbs then shunted across the two legs of the n. Now, in an electromagnetic system, the bulbs would not have lit - yet they did! Tesla was already not interested in electromagnetic energy but in electrostatic energy, a form of electricity - cold electricity- he considered more fundamental.

Moving on, I notice from the presentation “How A Tesla Coil Works” from the “All Electronics Channel” that the presenter is talking about using a VERY high current and is very focused on electromagnetic behaviour. This is not what Tesla was interested in, however: Tesla had moved on from AC work, following a serendipitous discovery when looking into an issue related to DC circuit switch closure where, indeed, high voltage/high current was a concern (basically, by closing the switch, the resulting avalanche of electrons briefly “hit a brick wall”, spraying out in all directions (in at least one case, killing the linesman who closed the switch) until the circuit stabilised.

I can’t remember his name offhand, but the “modern” Tesla coil was actually the invention of another engineer.

Ultimately, Tesla was focused for the last circa fifty years of his life on Radiant Energy (Cold Electricity), and all his work from 1892 onward should be seen in that light.

Two final points:

1. for Wardenclyffe Tower, Tesla was interested in resonance, resonance between the tower and the Earth, for the tower was to act like a jackhammer or striker sending electrostatic scalar waves down to resonate across the globe to create standing waves that, via reflection, would see constructive and destructive interference nodes established from which energy could be tapped.

2. The upper terminal connected via the parallel wires and the hood to the tertiary coil was to be electrically isolated from the dome: the terminal was a flat plate that was to be used to attract in and channel neutrinos that he understood to be a form of electrostatic (aether) particle that would be pulsed into the ground (via high voltage/high current electronic pulses) to provide the said jackhammer effect. In this case, then, both high voltage and high current were being utilised in the tertiary coil to feed the electrostatic energy ultimately down the transmitting pike with its base at D’
