The polarisation is (well, I read it) due to the MOKE (Magnete Optical Kerr Effect).
The metal has to be magnetic to accomplish that. Copper is normally not.

All the millions of EVOs in the LION system produced the identical transmutation elements in total lockstep. This means that the entire population of EVOs where entangled and were acting as one unified system. It also means that that in order to produce the same transmutation element, the aggregation of EVOs shared ENERGY between them. This observation is at the root of my belief that the entangled aggregation of EVOs communicate so that they can act as a single unified system.
