In the morning following the presentation and Q&A, I went the to answer MFMP YouTube comments and in the recommended videos, it had this delightful video on the BIC Ballpoint pen and how it transformed writing via a combination of simplicity and affordability. The algorithm was obviously working and it goes to show that if the product is right and meets a real need, it really can change the world.

After the presentation John Hutchison sent me a few images with the following comment [which I paraphrased]

“Thomas Lee Richardson’s house was full of Tesla’s stuff, I met him in the early 80s, he knew Tesla and was inspired to write a book and mint coins.”

John also provided a link to an out of print book called “Introducing Nikola Tesla Through Some of His Achievements” / “Prodigal Genius” credited to John J. O'Neill, which appears to have another version called “Nikola Tesla - Incredible Scientist and Prodigal Genius the Life of Nikola Tesla” by Morrison Colladay, John J. O'Neill. I could not find any copies on the usual sites, but did find it on World of Books.
