I was a junior in college majoring in physics when the Ponds and Fleischmann results first burst onto the scene. I remember distinctly one of my classmates asking the head of the physics department what he thought about cold fusion and ball lightning! The proffesor "poo-pooed" the whole topic as expected. I followed the circus for a while, but lost interest as my career took me in other directions. I'm so glad I found you Bob, and the MFMP community!

I was a science mad teen and never understood why any great scientist at the top of their game would want to torch their career - answer is, it was torched for them.

Thanks for your attention. We can do this.

Happily following along as the two of you sleuth away. Godspeed to dear Dr. Matsumoto. My respect to Sho for his diligence. It appears this work is yet another breakthrough from the 90's slow-walked by the Controllers of History, Destiny has another plan for THAT crowd. Nature does not lie.....but humans do: Nature does lie, in the forms of perception that are supplied to and MANIPULATED by man, derived from Nature. My 2 cents. Peace Cheers Onward.

Matsumoto was a pioneer, but what we have learned in the last few days is that he was unique, not just for his judicious and skilled use of nuclear emulsions, but for his experimental methods, attention to detail and his use of video for study of the dynamics of the process.

I am thinking about doing the ULTR experiment with a 10-year old. How would you best describe it on a level where it makes sense to someone that age? Any suggestions?

You can wind string into a ball and unwind the ball into a string.

Imagine two reels, one unwinding, one winding.

And just like you can feel deep loud sounds in your belly as it moves back and forth with the waves, so the spools are driven cyclically, but with sound you cannot hear.

Time to buy doides and caps to build a high voltage system. My mate travels to England a lot from Japan as well as home to Australia, Bob. I need a Variac now.
